This position reports to the Executive Director of Network Development.  The Network Development Coordinator's job entails both support and training of affiliates as it applies to site management, as well as providing content and marketing support both in the field and in the office.  Office supervision will be moderate, and in the field supervision will be close. You will provide 24 hour support and training through ongoing communication, search negotiate and sign talent for Scout Network., run specific marketing campaigns via email and communications with publishers, and provide content budget and production oversight at specific sporting events. You can work anywhere within the US.

This position primarily will be charged with editing daily stories, editing appropriate photos, loading stories into ESPN’s administration system, managing story placement on the website and cultivating writing and editing skills of writers within the recruiting network. Work on nights and weekend hours will often be required along with on-call responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor’s degree, excellent copy-editing skills, knowledge of AP style, excellent interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to think analytically and seek unique angles in telling stories and news. An excellent knowledge of college athletics is also vital.

The model for College RapidReports is similar to that of NFL RapidReports, CBSSports.com's "boots on the ground" operation that provides in-depth, daily coverage of all 32 teams and is heading into its third season. College RapidReporters must be available to cover home games, press conferences, open practices, and other relevant team-related events, while providing fresh news, notes, analysis and quotes to keep our users coming back. We will also be calling on RapidReporters to file occasional stories and features as the need arises. Salary is paid on a weekly, contract basis, with additional payment for accepted features.
