Medical Transcriptionists

Part-time is a minimum of 3,500 lines transcribed per week. You should have at least three years of experience required; three to five years of experience in medical records preferred. Excellent knowledge of medical terminology in various medical specialties, knowledge of current drugs, and excellent grammar and punctuation skills are required.

Coding Quality and Education Coordinator
The purpose of this position is to support and improve the quality of coding and education of the HIM/Coding Division through training of new coding team members, concurrent and ongoing monitoring of quality improvement plans and education efforts to successfully place and maintain qualified coders in the remote and contracted coding support teams. To foster and promote education of the Pyramid team utilizing records reviewed during the initial orientation phase and during ongoing employment with Pyramid. Candidate must have a minimum of three (3) years of various and progressive coding experience in an acute care facility or coding consulting field.  RHIA, RHIT and/or CCS required.  Additional credential of a CCS-P, CPC or CPCH is a plus.
 

Medical Assisting Tutor
The ideal candidate will be responsible for real-time, online tutoring in medical assisting, and assisting in the training, evaluation, and mentoring of new tutors. All candidates must have a computer and Internet access. To qualify, candidates should have a degree and experience in the medical assisting field. A minimum of 2 years teaching/tutoring experience in the medical assisting field is required. Candidates must be available to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
 

Medical Transcriptionists
You should have two (2) years of recent acute care and multi-specialty clinic transcription experience including teaching hospital and emergency department transcription, be a graduate of an AHDI-approved or equivalent medical transcription school. Have excellent listening skills, experience with foreign dictators, the ability to produce a minimum of 1,100 lines per day consistently. You should also have extensive knowledge of medical terminology.

This position will review NAEGs, Certs and Riders, and other benefit related documentation in order to build benefit coding requirements and test matrices, run test claims using tools such as NPS Electronic Error Correction (EEC) and Compuware tools, clarify requirements with internal and external sources, document and report quality results, make coding changes to the benefit file, and ensure that a high quality benefit code is moved into the system. All coders will communicate with customers as well as team leads on the status of each assignment.
